Depends. My cousin-in-law is an intelligent libertarian and always get a

kick out of talking politics with him over drinks when we hang out in the summer. Its more an intellectual conversation than a poo-flinging debate though, and between two people who respect each other’s intellect and knowledge. That’s indeed rare.and no way I would ever have the same type of conversation with my uncle (his FIL) who is a straight up Fox News watching, Trump-loving moron whose idea of debating is to insist your facts aren’t really facts (much like many of the morons do on here).

If you have two people who are on the same level but disagree, it can be very interesting. But that’s not usually how those types of conversations go.
