Oh please, there's no need to canonize them. A LOT of people have done the


public service bit and continue to do so. No, I think there are a number of other factors; the rise of 24-hour opinion television, the selectivity of news streams and Balkanization on the Internet, the cultural upheavals of the third wave, and the systematic and coordinated move by moneyed interests to achieve their ends.
