All over the place, I think.

For the most part, I think moderates - say center-left - won in traditional red districts, most famously Orange County, CA. But also in the pretty widespread defeats of repubs in suburbia, prompting many to talk about a tectonic shift away from repubs in those districts (which I suspect is an overstatement after one election).

We won't know how all these people, especially first timers, will line up on the political spectrum until we start seeing them in action next year. AOC was a spectacular, highly publicized upset winner over an established dem incumbent, but of course she won in the Bronx - an extremely liberal district. I think there are only a handful of districts across the country where an AOC could win. But the publicity of her win seems to make her something of a public representation of all the newbies, which I think is inaccurate.
