Are you complaining about the law, or do you just think we've all become

A bunch of snowflakes? A lot of us have complained about snowflakes. We all just have different takes on it.

The social media world is insane. That kid at Columbia screaming white supremicist shit will never escape that, if he's feeling any regrets. It will effect where he can go to school, where he can work, what clubs he can join (some will actively recruit him), pretty much forever. Problem is, with social media, far less can produce a similar result. People do need to understand that they are always being documented.

But that Columbia kid's not going to jail or paying fines, unless you know something I don't. So what you seem to be talking about isn't about the law. What exactly do you mean by "perfectly legal"? If nobody will associate with you or give you a job? That's snowflakery to some, but the hate speech in question is perfectly legal. Ill advised, but legal.
