My problem with Faux News is that they have built an entire business model of so-called conservative "media bias" victimhood and essentially exist as an echo chamber for Republicans to consistently lie to their audience. There is good reason Faux News viewers are consistently the most MISinformed segment of our population beyond the average IQ of their viewership (which also contributes I'm sure).

The left's attempts to mimic Faux (MSNBC) haven't been nearly as successful because there just isn't as much appetite for that sort of bullshit on the left, even today under Trump.

Which brings an important point home: this notion that the so-called "MSM" is some kind of grand libbrul mediuh conspiracy that is not to be trusted well predates Trump: it is insidious long con by Republicans who are essentially authoritarians (going all the way back to Nixon if not before) to try and undermine the Fourth Estate and the role it plays in a thriving and flourishing Republic or Democracy. The birth of outlets like Fox News was only possible because a segment of our population was consistently messaged about "libbrul media bias" as if Fox needed to exist as some kind of "other side" or alternative to, well, reality. That is pretty dangerous and speaks to the gaslighting of America by Republicans which Trump hardly invented...he has just taken it to another level.

There is no real equivalent on the left, and the various attempts to prove there is just play into this decades-long mind game. And social media has just been gasoline on the fire.
