To me, a game is a game. It's not real. Real life is real. My too young son plays Fortnite, but I still teach him not to put his hands on anyone, or not to touch a real gun.

I can see how some people can't separate games from reality, but I think it can be done.

And I see a difference between the news and movies. Movies are fiction, it's not real. The news depicts real events, but I feel like it's framed to be real, but in reality, I think our community/world is generally safe, and I'm not a fan of seeing, or having my kids see, all the worst chaos possible.

I realize I seem to have conflicted views that I don't have a problem with fake violence, but I have a serious problem with news violence, but I guess that's just because fiction is known fiction, but I think news, while real, is a distorted view (and just generally upsetting).
