Without getting into the back and forth yet again, and linking articles about Schumer withdrawing his agreement 24 hrs later before ever delivering a single needed vote, or whether somehow Coulter & Co. had more say in this than Chuck, I agree with you that it was a great starting point, would've had us well on our way to solving the DACA issue, and provided an excellent opportunity for the Dems to negotiate what should've been a reasonable compromise (but opted not to).

I will say, that although not mentioned, I thought the WH was also trying to cap legal immigration to around 750K/yr from the current 1M. Even that could've easily been negotiated IMO.

I still don't see what's not to like with this proposal for both parties, even if some minor tweaks were made in negotiation.
