If I'm Trump's lawyers, you have to throw Giuliani under the bus.


You have to present Giuliani as a rogue lawyer. It's the only way Trump has plausible deniability. It will also give Pompeo and Pence some cover if they are forced to testify under oath. It's obvious they met with him abroad.

It would be the way for Trump to have some deniability. However, Trump better pray Giuliani doesn't have concrete evidence that says otherwise. He's also been close to Trump for over 30 years. Finally, I doubt that helps Trump with the moderates/independents, women, the educated, etc. Basically, he has no one but his base to count on in 2020. It's not a smart strategy.

You're also starting to see cracks in the conservative media. That's a major concern for that Trump base.
