You seem to be missing quite a bit here.

(1) the so-called “wealth tax” proposals only kick in if you’re worth more than $50 million. If you are, and you’re whining about paying more in taxes, I think it’s safe to say most voters would rather a worker get healthcare than you get another yacht with your tax savings. That’s kinda the point, really.

(2) That said, what do you suppose is the chance of a wealth tax being declared constitutional by THIS Supreme Court? About the same as hoothat being admitted to MENSA. Yep, it’s all smoke and mirrors to corner the progressive vote and win primaries.

(3) you mention a 100% tax on investments — that is patently misleading. I suspect you’re referencing the “fun with numbers” article from WSJ that came up with a hypo where an actual billionaire might end up paying more in taxes than he brings in in investment income on a single investment if a perfect storm occurs (including every single idea Warren has floated about taxes becoming law in its most extreme form). But there is a lot wrong with that, the least of which isnt that it’s limited to billionaires who comprise 0.1% of the population realizing investments at 39% taxes on top of paying an astronomical wealth tax that is probably unconstitutional.
