if the appointment isn't working, fire and appoint a new ambassador (who would require Senate confirmation). the real issue is that he has crazy Rudy over there trying to make a buck (and working with a shady set of characters) and, seemingly anyhow, Gordon Sondland doing jobs he wasn't appointed (or confirmed) to do. And not doing them well based on what I've read.

this is why responsible people from both parties should be working hard to get rid of this guy in the 2020 elections. unfortunately (IMHO), the Dems have decided they can't wait (or can't win) and the Rs have decided to hold their noses and go all-in to protect their jobs.
