think that this is essentially part of the campaign. Shine a light on just how corrupt this guy is. Get people to pay attention to it. Get them to pay attention how the Senate will stonewall it. Not allow witnesses, etc.

Now that's not to say that you're totally wrong on "Can't Wait." They'd love it if some huge news came out that simply could NOT be ignored or whitewashed and actually lead to Trump's removal, but that's NOT the strategy. That's a 1% (at best) hope. The strategy is "shine the light" and influence voters in the next election.

And PS - it IS my belief that if witnesses were called, and document discovery were allowed, then there WOULD be proof that couldn't be whitewashed (though many would still ignore it). That's where Democrats hope that they can get that out in the open, OR that if they can't, it will turn people against many Republican Senators.
