Well, allow me to apologize if my use of Bernie Bros offends.

I guess I never thought of it that way. Of course it's a sweeping generalization for a message board. Bernie supporters are not a monolith. My 57 yr old buddy in Boston is nothing like my 25 yr old niece in Chicago. Both feel the Bern.

The poll RQ cites is pretty standard fare. I think it's a branding mistake by Bern, because this is historically cultural to us. If anything, that 53% number is on the low side historically. So I don't think anybody says it's definitive, but yeah, if I'm predicting (inherently dicey), I'm not betting on John Q. Public drawing a distinction between different kinds of socialists. Bern's branding, IMO, is meant to push that 53% lower.

But none of us has a crystal ball - we understand that we'll have to see how things go in the more diverse states to get a read on things. I personally don't think his showing in NH is particularly encouraging for Bern (really a draw with a relative newby from Indiana), and I'm not hearing the 18 to 30 year old turnout was all that good. On the NewsHour today, he sort of copped to that, saying "well we know the college towns turned out, but we have to examine all the data more closely". Read: still working on my spin.

But a lot of wood to chop.
