That really is horrible. It does explain some of the commentary on this

board, which has quite a few participants from that area for obvious reasons.

I don't think there is anywhere in the country so bad. That is literally 2x the cost of a gold plan in my market with one insurer, Kaiser Permanente (who do require you to see their in-house docs but most people find their docs quite good).

And about 3x the cost of a bronze plan with numerous insurers.

Surely this can't last; somebody will enter the market.
