those are not the things that I’ve held up the bill from passing the Senate. Those are things in an alternative Bill the house proposed after the Senate Bill failed (purely as a negotiation ploy).
But from everything I’ve been able to read the Democrats are not insisting on these in their negotiations. The hangup in the Senate Bill was over the $500 billion fund to support of big industry to be left up to the administration to dole out, and the level of unemployment and direct hospital support to be included. What you recited is the Mitch version and he does not tell the truth. Sounds like they’ve basically reached a deal and we should hear about it pretty soon today. Let’s see what’s in it. There will be some limits put on corporations receiving bail outs. I suspect those are going to be mostly limited to stock buybacks and executive compensation. And apparently the administration has agreed to oversight of that 500 billion dollar fund. There’s a good politico article that you can fine by googling.
