what the state already pays in UE (although my math above was just for $600). So if the state pays $400/wk and Feds kick in another $600, that takes you to $1000, or $25/hr. A lot of people will happily stay home for $25/hr as long as the program runs rather than return to work. (which defeats the purpose of getting people through this and back to work) And a lot of people will be pissed that their grocery store or whatever business wasn't forced to shutter and lay them off, while they keep working for much less than $25/hr. (which would be Joey's point)
