You seriously think it's not? San Marino has 224 confirmed cases and 22

deaths. No big deal, it's only a few hundred cases? The population of San Marino is 33K. That'd be the equivalent of us having 2.2 million cases and 217K deaths. San Marino could have a 100% infection rate and be 25% of our absolute numbers.

The combined population of Germany, Italy, France, Spain and UK is roughly equal to that of the US. Those 5 countries have 287K confirmed cases and 20.5K cases. So with roughly the same population, they have 2.3x the number of confirmed cases and ~10x the number of deaths. Our response has been abysmal, but I don't think the rest of the western, developed has done so well either.

regarding india, indonesia, Mexico, Bangladesh.... I'm hoping there's a climate angle to it too as it would bode well for a partial respite during the summer months. most of Southeast Asia... very densely populated with lots of travel from china, has also been spared. Fingers (and toes) crossed
