Interesting RML. I thought about Stalin as well. However, I think the


Russian people trusted Stalin. Certainly a majority did during the war. I think Churchill and Roosevelt trusted Stalin as far as doing what he said he would do. They - the US - certainly sent him enough material and support. Stalin's generals may not have trusted Stalin. They were more scared of him. He was a murderer and they knew it.

Stalin was evil. That is certain. But I feel, the Russian people and our leaders trusted him, at least as far as the war went.

My point is that our President is the opposite in that no one trusts him. His wife certainly does not trust him. We are constantly told by his followers to not believe what he says. He says things everyday everyone knows are lies. He says the same lies all the time. His lies are obvious. The American people have little or no faith in Trump.

And that givees me pause. That was the basis for the query of -- Can any country win a war with a leader the people do not trust?

Stalin is certainly a point of discussion.
