You can't just hand-wave away what he says, though


His words have major repercussions. Look at how the stock market has responded to these briefings. It's a major part of his job, and he's utterly failing at it. And, just as importantly, his statements show that he wasn't taking this seriously.

It cannot be overstated how important effective communication is during a public health crisis. It also cannot be overstated how badly Trump sucks at it.
