That article absolutely did NOT say the Lancet study has been debunked and
it did not say anything about anyone making up numbers. Did you even read the article you linked? Jeez.
They discovered an error where (as they described it) one Asian hospital checked the wrong box and said they were in Australia instead of Asia, so 6 deaths were wrongly attributed to Australia instead of Asia.
That didn't change the overall data or the conclusions of the study.
Now, even a single mistake calls into question the potential for other mistakes, which is why all of these analyses, studies, and trials need peer review and scrutiny. But nothing about this article "debunks" the study, and even the person they quote questioning it "stressed that even if the paper proved to be problematic, it did not mean hydroxychloroquine was safe or effective in treating Covid-19."
