What's more surprising is that Stonewall Jackson and Robert E. Lee ...


are romanticized in our history books ... whereas Grant and Sherman are not (sometimes even demonized). Obviously, they made mistakes but didn't fight to enslave an entire race like Jackson and Lee.

Why does American history give Davis, Jackson, and Lee a pass?
