Actually I believe you're right about the equal protection ruling being 7-2

with two of the liberals voting with the majority, but the other half of the case--what to do about it--was only 5-4 in favor of shutting down the recount and certifying the original results.

My understanding was that the Palm Beach County recount was not complete at that point, maybe Dade also...

But you were right on your rebuttal so I defer to you re the previous sentence--do I remember that wrong also?
