I am seeing 140,000. It was between Sept and April ( or two calendar years)


I remember it, and it was ignored, even though there were lots of deaths. Many occurred to troops in Vietnam, where we carried it.
Yes, IMO, it is definitely comparable to Covid, so far as duration and deaths. ( Though I am seldom serious.)
It was generally ignored by the press. And there was no social media.
It was a big deal. ( Not meant to play down Covid.)
