No other developed country has such an idiotically-designed, Rube Goldberg-esque, laughably complicated, overpriced, convoluted health care scam, er "system". Those countries realized long ago that the best (not perfect, but MUCH better than the current American mess) way to manage health care for its citizenry was via a single-payer system.

Unfortunately, in the United States, every time this is merely suggested, half the population and their nitwit elected representatives run screaming into the streets, shrieking "SOCIALISM, AGGGGGHHHH!!!!", opting instead for the chaotic disaster of a system we currently have. I've resigned myself to the fact that this will never (at least not in my lifetime) be fixed in the U.S. People are simply too dumb or too naive to understand why the current system is not in their best interests. And Europe and the rest of the first world will continue to roll their eyes at what a bunch of morons we are...
