children are the biggest silent carriers of the virus. Every normal parent or grandparent will want to give love and care that a child needs. Thus, the vulnerable gets exposed. Hell, most parents will risk exposure even if the child shows symptoms. They are going to comfort the child regardless of the risks. Wouldn't you?
While it might be true that the virus does not affect children between the ages of 5-10 as badly ... that's not the issue. It's how children become potential carriers of the virus.
I hope we reopen the schools. However, before we do, we need to understand the risks. It's how we make good smart decisions.
