Report doesn’t seem to say anything about symptoms.
Article says 86 kids have died overall. Report says about 339,000 kids have tested positive.
That puts us at mortality rate of .025% or 2.5 child deaths for every 10,000 positive child tests.
If we use the assumptions that have become pretty standard, that the real number of positive cases is ~10 time the number of positive tests. Then we have about 3.4 million kids infected and 86 deaths. As others have said, seems reasonable to assume the vast majority of Covid deaths in kids were caught since the sickest shave been getting tested.
If we use these numbers, that is a mortality rate of .0025% in kids. Or 2.5 deaths per 100,000 infections in kids.
