Did you watch the A&M Florida game? If that was 25%, that was a special

25%. By the way you know that 25% there is 25K people. Which is drastically more than anyone anywhere else is allowing. so yes the government is involved in reducing activity. Your position on this is belied by significant evidence.

Yes of course things won't be at 100%, and they never will be without a vaccine. the I am not doing anything until a vaccine chant started very early unfortunately. lost cause although even some of them are beggining to cave. Meanwhile there are large portions of the population ready to do all sorts of things. Whether they should or shouldn't do certain activies is a different question.

But your position that the virus and public perception is what is keeping everyone in and things shutdown and not governments is simply wrong.

Schools and conferences do not represent public opinion. In the case of public schools they represent some small portion of public opinion and a large special interest. The cowardice around return to primary education especially elementary school is tragic and criminal (should be anyway).

Universities are involved in a large virtue signal and contagion. The risk of decision is assymetric which causes adminstrators to follow the herd. This is true of companies as well.

Companies simply reflect fear of litigation nothing more. Especially large companies and that they survey their employees and the employees say they like working from home. thats like surveying employees and asking them if they want to be paid more.

Leagues do not reflect public opinion at all. You really think people wouldn't show up for NFL games? You really think parents wouldn't have their kids out playing kids sports? I have plenty of direct evidence to the contrary on the last one.

You don't need popular buy in to lift restrictions. the people who don't want to buy in can stay home. No one would make them do anything, other than their FOMO.

I agree real unbiased data would be useful. the fear porn has got to stop.

ramble on...
