And overreach, the country could very easily lurch again.

The repub party establishment didn’t want Trump. They caved to him once his grip on the primary base was clear, but the primary base was really dictating things. And social media largely drove that populist rise of the right wing extreme.

Biden does represent a rejection of the dem extreme, but no guarantees they can hold that line. I really do think we have to get a grip on how social media influences us, and I’m not real sure how to do that.

Which helps explain why Trumpism wasn’t more soundly rejected IMO. This problem isn’t going away with this election, and repub control of the senate may give us a little breather at least.

Or it’ll feed all kinds of narratives that will make our divisions worse. IMO we are still dancing on the edge of a cliff.
