No, that is wrong from top to bottom. Of course it is relevant. Completely
There is an enormous difference between claiming that a foreign power misled the American people, creating an information deficit, in effect, that drove people to vote for Trump under false pretenses. That’s essentially the dem claim. They don’t claim any disruption to the voting process itself. Just that Trump’s campaign conspired with Russia to mislead the voters. And to engineer the virtual equivalent of Watergate. That’s effectively what they claim the DNC hacks were.
Trump is not claiming that the dems corrupted the process, because they don’t run the process. The states do. Many of the states have repub legislatures, governors, and/or Secretaries of State overseeing their states’ elections. Any claims of fraudulent voting and/or tabulation are explicitly directed at the states, and even deeper, the localities that administered the election.
After nearly 250 years of creating the world’s gold standard for running elections, all of the sudden that is being called into question by the president himself.
This is an all out assault on the most fundamental institution from which everything else in our republic springs. There is no republic without faith in elections (which are not and never have been run by a single party, so that claim of your fails out of the gate) that the POTUS is trying to destroy to advance his own interests. There is no way to talk your way around that.
