I like Maher but I don't think he's necessarily correct. Like him or not

President Trump is popular with a large segment of voters. Also unpopular. This fact alone drove massive turnout this year. Lost as well is the fact that it is very difficult to defeat an incumbent President. But Biden did it and by quite a lot. Sure I'm disappointed in the down-ballot results. But I think it's far too early to say specifically why that is, despite what AOC, or Spanberger, or Bill Maher have to say about it.
