Regarding my own beliefs about mail-in voting (pertaining to this election or any other), however, I will just say that they are based on what I believe to be common sense rather than on what any media outlet or politician has said about it. I don't want to beat a dead horse with you on this topic, as I know from previous discussions that we won't see eye to eye. I also want to say that I understand and respect your view on it, as I know you are well-informed, but I just disagree.

I completely agree on your last paragraph, but it is what it is at this point. The genie is out of the bottle as someone said above. Hopefully, over time, things simmer down online. Right now, it's a shiny new toy for many people, but maybe that changes and things get a bit blander (for the better) as time goes by.
