Was texting my Dad yesterday asking him not to get back on Parler (didnt know til recently he had signed up there, and hopefully has no future access to it now that it has been dropped), and he is so mad about what they are doing to Trump, he said this is the biggest threat to our nation since the Civil War and those that dont stand up for Trump will be judged in the afterlife, so i better get on the right side of this issue. He said he doesnt care if he gets blacklisted, put on no fly lists or loses his passport. I can't believe i am hearing this from a man who had an advanced degree in Engineering, always seemed reasoned and fair to everyone growing up, and some of this makes me wonder if age is affecting him and his mind now that he is nearly 80. I just dont understand how he is being influenced like this. I think after retirement he got cut off from talking and interacting with real people with different viewpoints, and sits at home all day viewing online material tailored to his more conservative leanings that have warped his mind. This goes on on the left as well, so not excusing that either. I miss life in the 80s when we didnt have all this.
