if we disagree. I really respect your posts over the years (unlike many on this board) despite the fact that we often disagree, so let me try to explain.

I agree that we weren't very close to a successful coup on Jan 6th, but the fact that it was even a consideration is a cause for alarm. We have slipped very far down a very dangerous path over the past four years. The Senate is complicit with a man who yields to Putin for unknown reasons, and is complicit with a President using US assets to generate false intel against a political opponent, is complicit with a shredding of the emoluments clause (which is there for good reason), and a whole slew of other things that Reagan would have called out at the top of his lungs. We have congress people spewing obviously false and dangerous conspiracy theories. It goes on and on.

This isn't about Trump. It is about the next Trump, who is smart and hard working. The stage is set, and we need to call out the dangers loud and repeatedly. We can't just say "both sides" because that gives authoritarian leaning side validation.
