I'll probably waste time typing it with you, given your snark but here you go...

Because I'm telling you that I have a very good second hand source who says otherwise. So you can believe what you want to because I'm sure it gives you happy, partisantastic thoughts and dreams of a democrat shield wall for 100 years of rule if you keep repeating narratives.

I have a friend who is very close with a retired military officer who went down there that day to show support for Trump, not to storm the Capitol or to perform satanic insurrection rituals. The friend and his buddy keep it real, they are not Qanon, Proud Noise or hacks. He said there were people there with Trump stuff on who were saying shit like, fuck Trump and fuck you and we'll end you and blah, blah, blah trash talk. Then there were fringe righties who were like, we're gonna fuck some shit up and take our country back and blah, blah, blah. He decided to bail long before shit got out of hand. I believe all of that, given who told it to me.

I also have another friend who went who is prone to exaggeration that I would trust less, but he told me the same story. Both of these were accounts from that day, not a couple days later. The more legitimate friend of mine, I was bitching about Trump supporters and that's when he came with what the retired guy told him. That gave me pause and it still does. However, it doesn't change the fact that there were certain rightie douchebags in that crowd or all of them, that descended on the Capitol. However, I believe there were shit stirrers of different stripes initially, just as I believe and have seen footage that makes me believe the same for the riots of 2020.

We have an asshole problem. It doesn't support one party. And I won't be a party to laying blame at one group more than others. The riots were wrong but had started for the right reasons. The so-called insurrection was also wrong. And many people are to blame, including Trump, to some extent or perhaps more. I'd like to know more than I do before I start calling for jail time, etc.
