That's an interesting comment.

I'm of that era and have seen the movie many times, mostly for the music (The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Hendrix, CSN, & Santana). Yes, I guess most of those kids were skinny, and I think that may speak to a number of lifestyle changes since 1969. A few thoughts why:

They were young (obviously).
Fast foods were still not quite so common.
Processed foods were less common.
No video games.
No internet.
Outdoor activities were much more popular.

The next time I see Woodstock, I will be intent to take note of the skinny kids. LOL.
