I think argument can be made for both ways (and it has). While by this year

we know kids for most part are not affected by virus too much, we still not sure how well they carry and spread the virus. As a singular data point, my wife and I caught Covid 2 months ago when we both been fairly careful. I believe it is quite likely we got it through our kids preschool. While we didn't affected by it too bad, I would be much more concerned if my parents in their 80's were living with us at that time. I think if we did open up school this spring, all involved (teacher, parents, students) need to perform extreme due diligence. Essentially making the school a giant pod. But I don't think many communities would able to do that.
