"Priesthood of academia"......


...he is spot on with far too much of this. College "education" is extremely overpriced. For most jobs, college is completely unnecessary, outside of the piece of paper that says "I went to college"

However, the BS system is bred by big business, who for the most part, require a "college degree". Thank goodness for the likes of Amazon, google, and Microsoft, who are working with online education providers to craft degrees in fields where they need people, and an official sheep skin is unnecessarly. Thankfully, they are the ones who are growing and hiring.
