we should believe them. Thousands of these people were summoned to our nation's capitol to overturn an election. In the failed attempt they attacked the citadel of democracy as self styled patriots. Whether some were zealots in the cause or others were simply weak minded people who were misled is no longer a distinction amounting to any difference.

In support of these people are millions of others who believe fervently in why they were in Washington on 1/06/21. They just didn't have the means or the misguided fortitude to be there themselves. There are millions more who turn a blind eye to the significance of the threat to our democracy.

This state of affairs did not exist three years ago. It is a new phenomenon and it is entirely artificial. It is outrage based on myths, prejudices, and lies. It won't die a quiet death as there are those who's power and station are defined by stoking these lies. This will have to be actively opposed and actively defeated, by ordinary citizens willing to defend democracy with their voices, by the law, by the courts, and by the ballot box............all things that the deplorables reject.
