The excuse is that the election results were, in fact, corrupted...

Trump, as the nation's chief law enforcement officer, was not only within his rights to ask his subordinates to investigate that, potentially invalidating the results of a corrupted and illegally conducted election, but it would have been a dereliction of duty not to. Since election laws were violated all over the place and no one has ever investigated the matter, we now have a president whom half the country believes may have been fraudulently elected. Not a good place to be for any of us.

By the way, the Dems also "took steps to overturn a free and fair election" (you gotta love Maloney's propaganda weasel words) following the 2000, 2004 and 2016 contests, LOLZ. They were also questioning voting machines, the post office and other issues right up to November 3, casting doubt on the 2020 election. You lefties keep pretending like the right-wing's 2020 contest is something new, but the rest of us have memories that go back more than 10 minutes ago.
