I think even with the recent surge, VT is not per capita high
on cases compared to other low vax states.
For example, the current 7 day case average in vt is roughly 116 cases, and 1 death with a total population of ~624k.
If we compare those numbers to Al (with a vax rate of 48% compared to vt's 76%)...Alabama's 7 day average is ~3100 cases with 30 deaths.
Alabama's population is 4.9M, which is roughly 8x of Vermont, but as you can see their case counts and deaths are much higher than 8x, even when we take the numbers for the last week or so. The numbers are closer to 30x.
