suspend it through Dec. '22 with no cap. So anything they pass between now and then, including the current $3.5T Socialist Wishlist bill could not be stopped by needing to further raise the debt limit. So it's completely disingenuous to claim this is only about bills we've already agreed to pay.

And it's completely disingenuous for them to claim this threatens the full faith and credit, when they have an option only they control. Dems could use reconciliation to raise it without a single GOP vote. But they couldn't have that blank check book, but rather would have to put a figure to that raise, say $5T, $10T or whatever, and then own and answer for that.

For that matter, they could also raise it by a specific amount, rather than uncapped through '22, and possibly not watch it get filibustered. They're choosing not to do that because they chose to play these games, in that case, to push for killing the filibuster (an attack on our democracy!).

Fortunately Mitch is too wise to fall for such nonsense. The tweet above further confirms that. Hardly blinking, he's further putting the focus where it should be.

And the Dems control both houses and the White House. Other than with their most disingenuous cult members, they can and should be blamed if they drive this bus over the cliff.
