To improve vax uptake among more vulnerable populations while vaccinations of younger people continue, to do all possible to minimize community spread (which is a way to protect stubborn vulnerable vax resistors as best we can until something clicks in their stubborn minds).

There is a dilemma in choosing to vax younger healthier folks, and even allocating boosters. Health experts call the new Omicron variant “chickens coming home to roost”. Wealthy nations have the means and opportunity to vaccinate everyone - the only holdup is stubborn, shrill voices like yours. Much of the world doesn’t have the luxury of choosing to remain at risk unnecessarily, like you do. And so spread is unchecked and variants become very likely. This is exactly why many experts believe wealthier nations are not effectively balancing their “our country first” policies with international needs, and recognizing their own selfish interests in that. Because ironically, by hoarding doses for their own country, they are helping create the conditions that may make those doses useless at some point. Hopefully not yet, but we don’t really know yet.

That dilemma might make a little more sense, but brings a whole slew of other political concerns. In this country a dem admin that sent doses abroad instead of into arms of every eligible person at home would be accused of putting America last.
