It was an interesting story and a cautionary tale…
…It was a 64-yo male who had cancer, so obviously a compromised immune system. But he was well enough to be playing golf, etc., and enjoying a fairly normal life. Got the COVID vax and went into shock within a few hours. Died 48 hours later. In the interim, tested positive for COVID once at the hospital, though was asymptomatic.
So, basically, his body was hit with cancer, his ongoing cancer treatment, the COVID vax and (possibly) COVID simultaneously. The shot overwhelmed his system, and he died. Cautionary tale because it seems like a smart idea to get COVID-tested prior to getting the vax, which I’m not sure many people do.
An example like this is one reason why the COVID vax should not be made mandatory. Another is my own father, who had a bad reaction to the first COVID shot and has been strongly advised by his doctor not to get another one.
