It's an interesting move


If you look at it in terms of the 2024 nomination, it's giving DeSantis enough rope to hang himself.

If he believes in the faithfulness of his flock then he won't sweat about losing too many of them should DeSantis decide to take ownership of the antiVax contingent. But at the same time it give the GOP establishment a big public issue that they can side with Donnie on. Then after winning the nomination he can go back and say anything he damn well pleases, knowing full well that Trumpletons don't actually hold him accountable for anything he's said in the past.
