Exactly right. To the left,...


...and particularly the commies, politics is an all-consuming fundamentalist religion. Evertything is political, and there is nothing that they won't go after eventually.

In contrast, the right essentially just wants to be left alone, live in peace and allow others to live in peace -- even those with whom they disagree.

I think the right might be waking up to the fact that having surrendered the battlefield -- academia, media, entertainment/culture, bureaucracy, school boards, health departments, DAs, etc., -- to the left wasn't a great idea. I don't know whether it's too late.
