The cynic in me says that Trump is being baited into taking public credit..


...for the vaccine right as the vaccine is falling apart. Having politicized the virus for two years, Biden and the rest of the left now own it completely, and it's an anvil tied around their political ankles. (Oh, sweet, sweet karma.) They have staked their political fortunes on their ludicrous claim to be able to defeat COVID -- an obvious impossibility -- with the vax as the primary tool for doing so.

They know they're fucked because the vaccine doesn't do anything close to what it was purported to do when it was rolled out. Even Pfizer's CEO is very publicly backing away from it. So, now they need someone to take the heat for them, and who better than their eternal boogeyman, Orange Julius? It might be in their interest to have everyone calling it the "Trump vaccine" a little bit further down the road.
