Fear sells for sure. That's always been the case. If you don't think Fox
is doing the same thing, but raised to the power of 10, you're delusional.
I caught a little bit of CNN during the early part of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and I thought their coverage was actually pretty decent and even the non Russia/ukraine stuff wasn't terrible. I caught some MSNBC and was surprised with how much of a lefty slant there was. It was very obvious. I changed the channel pretty quickly. Every time I catch a bit of Fox News, I find myself laughing at the sheer ridiculousness of their programming. It's like Fox has become a crazy, over-the-top parody of itself. One fucking crisis after the next with sinister lead in music and graphics. If you only got your news from Fox, you'd think the country is literally on fire.
So while I can appreciate your concern about CNN going with the "fear sells" approach, if you don't have the same concern about Fox, you're just a disingenuous hack.
