Saying something isn't as bad as the hyperbolics claim, or can't have our
efforts moderated with more innovation, adaptation, and better balancing with the impacts on the economy and quality of life, is not the same as saying they "aren't so bad". Don't go all Blah on us, you're better than that.
If this is indeed the "existential crisis" it's regularly claimed to be, and we only have 12 yrs (or I guess we should be down to about 8 or so now on the AOC meter) left before it's too late (again), and by your own chart since essentially the 70's/80's, the only places with rising CO2 emissions are China, India, the rest of Asia and increased transport due to them (US, Euro, and most of the rest of the world are flat or even declined), then why on Earth are we doing business with these folks at all until they drastically change their ways? Why are we putting all the demands on those that have been improving, but giving a pass to the worst offenders? Why aren't we declaring war on these places that are so endangering the rest of us? I mean, it's an "existential crisis" after all!
