My comment of not so bad was more specifically about the effect of CO2
You were saying before that there was some other cause for the global warming and that only 3 degrees over 120 years and none the first 70 was a sign that CO2 wasn't the only thing going on (i.e. "not so bad"). My point was that is not an accurate interpretation of the climate science. Sorry for being a little sarcastic, but you were talking about the "Church of Climatology" so I figured you could handle it.
I am in fact very concerned about climate change, but I try not to throw around "existential crisis" because it doesn't accomplish much. China and India are the places that are rising and that is a big problem. No argument there. Going to war isn't going to achieve our goals, but engaging with them on business and trying to negotiate decreases in emissions might. I don't think anybody is giving them a pass. We're trying to use diplomacy and trade to push them a certain direction. It might not be successful, but it won't have a chance if we aren't leading by example. The good news is China is showing initial signs of reducing emissions and prioritizing nuclear and renewables moving forward.
