So, the media dropped that statement because senior

military officials communicated that statement to the media. Perhaps THEY thought it was something the public should know. And perhaps as you suggest the blame her is not with either Trump or Obama, but with the people who recommended this action to them, but don't you think we should not just toss away the notion that the action had been on hold "for operational reasons" and as soon as Trump go in, it went off hold. Was the military/intelligence community over eager and under prepared, or did the word come out from the WH that the new president wanted a victory?
