That's true. But what of Comey's repeated messages to Trump

that he's not under investigation? And Feinstein saying there is no evidence so far (as of early May.) It definitely will come out when it's all over, but the fact that even the tangential sketchballs haven't been under more heat makes me think that it's less and less likely.

And the investigation will continue; everyone else is still in place. If a purge starts happening, then I'd raise both eyebrows. Comey was disliked by both sides and always injecting himself into places where he didn't belong (stepping outside the role of investigator.) A loose cannon with a big ego, ironically, just like the Pres. Firing him for that seems more likely than firing him because he's got the goods on Trump and the rest of the FBI will back down if we can just get rid of Comey and cram a puppet through the confirmation process to shut it down.
